Everything is working well except the program guide is four hours off.

Shows meant for midnight are in the program guide at 4 a.m.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Ensure you time is accurate, then dump the guide. After this, rerun mythfilldatabase. Please search for forum for greater details.

I saw postings about that but I have a feeling that is not my issue.

I ran tzconfig and set the time to UTC. I checked the date with the "date" command and the time and date were correct as well. The only thing that was sort of a mystery was the /etc/timezone. When I cat that file I get what looks like garbled datat. I tried creating a link from that file but I am not sure it took.

He wasn't kidding, dump the program guide info and refetch AFTER making sure that all of your servers were restarted in the right timezone. The universal problem here is that one of the servers had a stale idea of what the timezeone was (UTC) when you did you intitial fill. Doesn't matter that the rest of the system had it's clock set correctly at the time. Until the server in question is restarted it sticks with the "truth" that it "knows".

Forgive my noobness but

I did tzconfig and the time is already set to UTC

I typed the command date and that time is correct as well

The I did a mythfilldatabase --refresh-all and am I missing something here? Because the times are still off

You should be setting you HW clock to UTC and your system clock to your local TZ (which I'm guessing is EST/EDT) Hang on while I hunt down the detailed dirctions I've written several times before... http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=8006&highlight=timezone
Please note that the way you clear the program guide is different in MythTV 0.19. Instead of being asked two questions up front, you use the delete option on the Video Source menu.
