Hello All,

I am somewhat new to MythTV, so please bear with me. :)

I am trying to record several 6-hour long TV shows from my VCR into the Myth box. When I view LiveTV and hit the Record button, the show starts recording, but stops at the nearest half-hour increment. :?

Is there any way to change the default duration? I have tried to alter the stop time, but was unable to find the correct setting.

Thanks,

Tim

Details, details, details or lack there of... Have you look at the logs? Since you are recording from a VCR, is this a manual recording?

Sorry about that. I am starting the recording by pressing the Record button on the clicker while I am watching the VCR through LiveTV. When I pull up the recording status (after exiting from LiveTV mode), it is set to terminate at the nearest half-hour increment, E.G. if I start recording at 3:17PM, it will terminate at 3:30PM. From what I can tell, the termination is normal, but I don't know how to change the termination time.

From the watch recording, press I on the recording and select Recording Options. Then Edit Recording Schedule > Scheduling Options. See the End recording on time? Since use left or right to change that... The way you want to do this is by doing a manual recording. The way you are doing it will work, but it isn't the best way.

Thanks! I didn't map the I key to a remote control button, so I didn't think to press it :)

I had tried to do a manual record, but it wouldn't start recording at the correct time. I have been struggling with getting this box running (an ATI video card and tuner), so I think I just need to get some more bugs out first.

Thanks again!
