Anyone know how? I'm running my own version of BashPodder to download podcasts but the won't show up in mythvideo without me setting it up. Anyone know haw to add a video or run the video manager from command line? If it comes down to it I'll hack together a mysql script...

BashPodder looks nice. Will have to check that out.

In Setup>Media Settings>Video Settings> If you set "Video [Browser|Gallery|List] browse files" to enabled, MythVideo will be able to display videos without having to add them to the database.

I'm sure there are more elegant ways to do it directly, but you could do it via the telnet interface on mythfrontend:

http://www.mythtv.org/docs/mythtv-HOWTO-11.html#ss11.6

Use a telnet script to jump to the main menu then issue keypress commands to go the Video Manager and scan for new videos. I'm assuming you're going to do this at night when the front end isn't in use, obviously. I'm also assuming Myth 0.19/KM R5B7.

I went with the browse solution, but I think I should encorporate bashpodder into a new mythpodcatcher I'd have to program. I'll prolly take apart mythvideo to start with.
