Just started having a problem with MythWeb it is only when I click on "Recoded Programs", no where else. Viewing recorded programs on the actual TV connected to the box works just fine as do all other MythWeb functions. When I click on "Recorded Programs" the browser spins for quite a while (on my system it has always taken a while to generate this page, all others are very snappy) and then I get the following:

Quote:
Error at /usr/share/mythtv/mythweb/includes/mythbackend.php, line 109:

error type: Warning
error string: fsockopen(): unable to connect to 192.168.10.60:6543
filename: /usr/share/mythtv/mythweb/includes/mythbackend.php
error line: 109

Followed by the list of recordings. At this point the mythtv-backend is no longer running. Looking in /var/log/mythtv/mythbackend.log I see the following:

It was between 19:11 and 19:23 that I clicked on "Recorded Progams", so no clue at that time. Of course 19:23 was when I started the backend up again.

Looking at /var/log/mysql/mysql.log
Quote:
060419 19:11:57 130 Query REPLACE INTO mythweb_sessions (id, modified$
130 Quit
060419 19:17:01 131 Connect root@localhost on mythconverg
131 Query select chanid,DATE_FORMAT(starttime,'%Y%m%d$
131 Quit
060419 19:23:09 132 Connect mythtv@localhost on mythconverg
132 Init DB mythconverg
132 Query SELECT NULL
132 Query SELECT data FROM settings WHERE value = 'D$
132 Query SELECT data FROM settings WHERE value = 'DB$

None of which appears to be a clue to me. Not that I actually know anythying about sql. mysql.err is empty.

Searched the forum and found this:
http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=5798&highlight=error+usr+share+mythtv+mythweb+includes+mythbackend+php
but it doesn't seem to be the same problem.

Could the AutoExpire error be a clue?
How do I remove the database "metadata" to line up the reality of what is in /myth/tv?
I have already followed cesman's guide to database (table) repair.
http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1043&highlight=database+repair
No problems found or repaired.
Any other ideas?

Twice now, I've gotten a weird problem where something bombs when trying to make the thumbnail preview for one of the CSIs on CBSHD. The solution is to delete the program and its thumbnail from the /myth/tv directory, and delete the offending entry from the database ("recorded" table) using phpmyadmin.

The backend would crash when I EITHER browsed the recorded programs via mythweb, or went in and looked at the recorded programs in the mythfrontend. When I highlighted that program, it would crap out. And the mythweb would list out enough so that I could see some of the programs listing ok, then boom. So I could kind of tell which one it didn't like.

This may or may not, be the same issue. And the same technique may or may not be helpful!

Appears this was related to the AutoExpire error. I solved the problem by copying another file to the file name of the missing file. Next time HouseKeeping ran, it deleted the file, and now MythWeb works as it did before.
