I've read the threads on PVR 150s showing up as type 4 instead of type 50, but I'm new to linux and I'm not sure how to force the tuner type. I've been gnashing away at this all day and this is as close as I can come to nailing down the issue.

Using the new R5B7 distribution.

Here's hoping someone'll help out a pie eyed mythtv dreamer...

Odd, mine shows as

Apr 22 07:13:03 Sneezy kernel: tuner 0-0061: type set to 47 (LG NTSC (TAPE series))

However, to manually set the type.

Edit /etc/mythtv/modules/ivtv

This has a remarked out line to manually set the tuner type.

Info on resolving 4.4 tuner type 4 problems... Obviously only applicable if you card is not working because it's being identified as having tuner type 4.
