I have both a PVR250 & PVR150 installed, but when using KnoppMyth R5B7 the PVR250 Tuner Input (only) has much lower volume level than any other inputs. I presume this is a bug in ivtv 0.4.3 since it didn't show up with an older KnoppMyth version, but I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to configure "Recording Profiles" on a per-input basis so I can adjust the volume levels of each input independently, versus adjusting all PVRx50 cards at the same time. Even on the same card (PVR250), I'd like to raise the Tuner input volume without messing with the SVideo input volume.

ivtv init messages are as follows, FYI (this version of 0.4.3 was also patched per instructions in another thread so that my PVR150 doesn't show up as a PVR250):

I've got the same problem which appeared sometime in the 0.4.x series of ivtv drivers and I haven't found a way around it yet. There is a MythTV RFE and a couple ugly hacks that might work, but no clean solution.

I too have the same issue. I have a newer PVR-150 and an older PVR-250. The audio from the PVR-150 is chrisp, loud and clear. The audio from PVR-250 is not only lower but is more muffled. I am running MythDora 2.1 (I needed that LVM badly) which has ivtv version 0.4.3. Since MythDora doesn't do SMP, I might just wipe it our and dump the whole distro thing and go with Jarod Wilson's FC4 + MythTV install. So, which is the best version of ivtv? 0.4.5 or 0.6.2? Neither would identify my new PVR-150 so I have to use the options line anyway.

So, is it that nobody knows this or is it that since this is a KnoppMyth forum, y'all won't anwer a question posted by a MythDora user?

Which ivtv version depends on your kernel version. See the ivtv wiki for more details.

I've posted some experimental scripts in another thread for tweaking the ivtv parameters to custom values to get around 1) the driver problems 2) mythtv's lack of card by card adjustments. I think it's under hits&tips or maybe usage/howto. A quick search should find it.
