Hi all,

Just installed R5C7 and noticed that if I use 1360x768 resolution (native for my TV) the MythTV will do wrong scaling. For example, some main menu items starting with "Utility / Setup") will be "below" actual screen and not available for scrolling. How better to explain it... Just think like a case when a virtual screen resolution bigger than actual screen resolution.
1024x768 works fine. 1360x768 worked fine on R5B7.
Any ideas?

Thanks,

Alex

Found temporarily solution - if I specify the GUI height as 768 (default 0) in Setup menu, scaling works properly.

Good morning. Question for you, how were you able to specify your 1360 or is it 1366 x 768 resolution?

Thanks!

As far as I know, NVidia cards required you to set size parameters dividable by 8. So, for 1366x768 you need to use 1360 or 1368.

In my XF86Config-4 I added:

Modeline "1360x768" 76.03 1360 1384 1464 1600 768 770 772 792

Your parameters may be different depending on your TV, I have ViewSonic N3250W.
Check http://zaph.com/Modeline and try to search in Google.

Also I needed to add in Section "Screen":

Option "Ignore EDID" "1"

alex_rk86,

Thanks for the modeline, I'll try it out tonight. I just got a N2751w, and used videogen to get a modeline but it switched to a virtural desktop of 1360x1024. For others, go to /var/log and check your XF86 log file to see what XF86Free is trying to do and finally does...
