My mpeg files in /myth/tv are created -rw------- therefore I cannot access them via my samba share.

Does anyone know how configure the mythtv-backend to create them -rw-r--r-- ?

Interesting as all files should be 644... Have you made any configuration changes?

Could be but then I can't remember. I don't know if there's an option to change recording permissions.

My recorded programs are created: -rw------- mythtv mythtv
Only the mpg files in /myth/tv are created like that. png files are
created fine and match the default umask (0022) for the mythtv user.

the mythfrontend runs as user 'mythtv' as well as the mythbackend.
umask for root also defaults to 0022

I've checked allmost every option in the setup and browsed the source code but I can't figure out what's wrong.
I'm totally out of options..
