I'm running R5C7 and am having trouble getting directv.pl to control my "DirecTv D10-100" reciever via the serial port. It is sending data and recieving data back from the dtv reciever but it keeps saying timout.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Here is the output.
Code:
./directv.pl verbose box_type D10-100 24

As you can see I'm getting data back from the reciever. Am I missing something??

Have you checked the data speed that you are using? I'm looking for the HOW-TO myself right now. I remember that the connection speed is different than the installer manual says. I'll keep looking and let you know if I find the posts I'm looking for.

Here's the link...

http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/Co ... TB_via_USB

Here's the note I was referring to...

"I started with the directv.pl script used to control the D10 box. I had to change the speed to 115200 from 9600 (contrary to the installers guide which says 9600 or 155200, which must be a typo). I also had to enable hardware flow control in order to get reliable operation."

Good Luck!

Thanks!! That what it. It set it to 115200 and it's working like a charm now.
