Hey everyone, first off kudo's to everyone for Knoppmmyth. I've been using it now for quite awhile and have had great luck but I've run into a problem recently I'm hoping someone could help me with. When I upgraded to R5C7 DVD's have stopped playing. I'm using the default install with a Liteon DVD/RW on the secondary master IDE buss. The /dev/dvd entry does point to /dev/hdc . I have tryed to play a video from the command line with no luck (errors about not finding the DVD)
If anyone could point me in the right direction I ould very much appreciate it.

As rootIf that doesn't work, post exact error message. You do know that KnoppMyth doesn't support the playing of encrypted DVDs right?

I have gotten most everything to work.. Although I am having the same issue.. I rented a DVD and it is not playing... Any ideas, work arounds, posts you may be able to link to?

Sorry, but no. Search for the words "encryption" or "encrypted" and "lawyer" or "DMCA".

I'm not really sure why this is but after running the cd_link.sh script and the examples script a few times it finally started playing DVD's, I also had to use the --auto-scan feature of xine. Now if I could only figure out why it hangs on some DVD's.
