I've got a bit of a problem currently...

"38 programs, using 93 GB (42 hrs 37 mins) out of 186 GB (40 GB free)."

Something doesn't add up there, right? I've checked with df -h's and there's surely only 40GB free, and using mythweb I've tallyed up how much space should be being used by the shows present in /myth/tv and it SHOULD only be 93GB. The problem seems to be there's a LOT of excess recordings sitting around.

I've tried going through mythweb and deleting "live recordings" and that cleared up some space but not much. Looking through /myth/tv it looks like there's TONS of small files (less than a meg) related to shows that were recorded but deleted. Breezing through it does look like there are some recordings still there that shouldn't be...

I guess what I'm trying to ask is if there's a tool I'm unaware of in knoppmyth that cleans up these orphan files? I'm not going to lie, anything easier than going through file for file and checking against my list in mythweb is welcome :-)

The pretty script was leaving these stubs, and somewhere around here there's a script I wrote for this... Ah, found it.... http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=9511

Hi,

To go along with tjc and after running his clean up, if you look toward the bottom of that post there is a simple cure so that you don't get the "little" files any more and pretty will still work. /usr/local/bin/mythlink.sh is the file.

R5C7 does away with the script and uses a different method to make the pretty links and therefore also avoids the little files.
