During installation I got an error about / .qt (not installed). Later on during configuration of the backend in the third part (cannot remember the menu name but it´s just after setting XMLTV up) the pc starts doing a scan. It starts at 50% and then apparently ends up in a dead lock.

Does this problem has anything to do about the missing /.qt?
I found the following about installing QT (what is it anyway?) on http://www.mythtv.org/docs/mythtv-HOWTO-9.html
$ su -
# apt-get install libqt3c102-mt-mysql
# exit

If not, can any one lead me in the "right" direction on solving this dead lock during the scan?

Info: I use a PVR 350. The pc is connected to cable tv in Denmark.

You can ignore the /.qt error. As for the other, sounds like mythfilldatabase is choking on something. Run mythtv-setup from an xterm and <alt><tab> to see the output.
