 Post subject: retrieving recordings

so I have a windows machine on the same network to my knoppmyth box and I want to be able to get some of the recordings off the mythbox to the windows PC. I cant see it in any of the normal ways , I'm betting samba isnt configured or I need to set something else up.

forum searches are always too inacurate and what turns up is beyond my level of comprehension (linux noob)

and I have no clue how Wiki's work

it would appear I can download them through the web interface, but that's not the way I wanted to do it... there has to be a better way

Then you need to give specifics. If you don't understand something, state what it is you don't understand (in that thread). Being a "noob" isn't an excuse for ignorance. Not stating you are, simply stating the facts. If you don't understand something, ask...

the samba thing worked, now how do I make it boot so that samba is running?
