Hi,
I have a curious problem. I'm using the tvtoday script and everything worked fine till saturday. My backend was no longer able to grab the tvinfo:

My system worked fine but I got no more tvinfo. I thought perhaps the grabber needs an upgrade and I decided to move from R5B7 to R5C7.
Before the upgrade I did a backup.
The installation process finished, but everytime I try to run mythfrontend I got a segfault:

So I decided to downgrade cause I wanted my system to be up again as soon as possible in order to record a few shows.
So I downgraded but the errors remain.
I hope that this errors come from the empty database which has actually no new epg info, but why does the grabber not work and why did everything work before the up/-downgrade?

It looks like tvtoday have made changes again to break the grabber. I now get the following running it on a PC:

As for your re-install problem, it is hard to say if there is installation related or if there is really something corrupt in the DB now. You might try backing up all your backups and doing a fresh install. If you have a backup before the previous installs, that would be best to keep. You can then try doing the restore of the original backups (after doing another backup just to be safe).

I would recommend going through the mythrestore script and doing things step at a time, starting with the db restore so you can maybe tell where things are going wrong.

Finally, after lots of hours, I figured out that the segfault came from my old SIP settings. After deleting all old SIP settings, in the database, and replacing them with the default ones the segfault vanished.
And mythfilldatabase is working again, thanks to the new installation of xmltv.

Hi theone29,

the error you have is quite different from mine. I got a segfault, but your computer seem to be unable to connect to your datadirect grabber.
Sorry but I've never done anything with a zap2it grabber. All I can say is check your configuration


Perhaps you have a wrong setting like username or password.
