Dear Reader,

I have an aopen ea65 II barebone with an aopen winfast 2000XP EXPERT card. (Leadtek).

Normaly these cards have 107d:6611 or 107d:6613 pci string (Leadtek).
Aopen has put their own pci string in de TV-card: a0a0:6f05

I already add this pci string to the cx88-cards.c file.

What must i do to get the system to recongnize these changes?
I'm a bit unfamiliar with compiling and installing drivers.

Best regards,

MarcelS

Now the LR6611 (Leadtek winfast 2000XP EXPERT REV.5) works.
I have a tv, radio and a caption device.

But after a reboot it shows card=0 (Unknown) in /var/log/messages again.

Does someone know how to make this permanent, so that after a reboot the same settings are made?

Best Regards

MarcelS

Agian i got a step in the right direction:

I have editted cx88-cards.c and added and changed de following:

Added:vendorid = 0xa0a0, deviceid = 0x6f05 for winfast 2000XP expert.
I changed the tuner setting for the winfast 2000XP expert card to TUNER_PHILIPS_FM1216ME_MK3 (his is the demodulator on my card)

Run:
/usr/src/kernel-version/make <enter>

Now a new cx88xx.ko cx8800.ko are generated.
copy these to the working directory and reboot the computer.
The TV card now loads automaticaly.

Up to the next problem, color depth ;-)

Best regards Marcel

Perhaps feeding your change back to the v4l-dvb folks, so others don't have the same issue. Share and share alike. ;)

Hello,

Is there a some kind of procedure when giving a feedback, like in what format, and where exactly can send this feedback?

Best Regards,

Marcels

I don't know... I'd suggest going to linuxtv.org and see what you can find.
