Wow. Their bandwidth is going to skyrocket then.

Maybe, Maybe not. It depends what percentage of usage comes from scrapers vs regular users. Of course, it's not just the BW considerations. Load on their servers when a scraper is running must be nasty with all those simultaneous connections. Stopping those may be worth the extra hit from img downloads. It'd be an interesting calculation to make.

BTW: What times are people doing their scraping? I've got mine running in the wee hours of the morning when I expect normal users aren't looking up the EPG. If we're all doing the same thing, then the load at (say 3:30AM) might be a tad high.

Matt

I found with version 2.12 that I would only get the program names, no details. Now that I have upgraded to version 2.13 it doesn't appear to download anything. :?

I found out all my EPG data was screwed up Saturday night, so I install 2.13 and ran mythfilldatabase Sunday morning.

It fixed up all Sunday's listings (Yay Formula 1 and MotoGP), but then repeated Sunday's listings for every day thereafter. Also no details at all.
Haven't we seen the repeating thing before?

I gave up on this on the weekend and moved to the oztivo guide data with the new grabber. its working great at this stage and i noticed today that the msn grabber writer is stopping work on it in favour of the oztivo data.

Straight from the horse's mouth http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/users/213660

This is the end of the ninemsn script, where to now. I am having a bitch of a time even just signing up to the oztivo wiki and if that is any sign who knows what the rest of the service will be like.

I think it would be a good idea if we could share the data via bittorrent or something similar to that, a problem shared is a problem halved?

I keep getting either an error when I try and register or it says my IP is black listed although I have tried from two different systems.

this only today, i remeber a while ago i tried to change to this source and i couldn't get a login setup. i recently tried again and it worked. i think they need to offer two sorts of membership. you can be a subscriber or a donator or both. would make it a lot easier with the setup i think.

I am having trouble converting to the oztivo grabber, all of my programs are showing 10 hours early.
I am in Victoria so my timezone is UTC+1000.

The NINEMSN script has been updated by another gentleman and is still located in the same space.

I was able to register on the OZTivo site but was never able to set up the guide data properly. I have followed the guide from the link in the previous post, unfortunately that failed for me. If anyone has had succes please could you let me know, thanks.
