I have a PVR-150 with a broken IR-reciver, so I'm using a serial port reciver instead. But how to get it to work with the A415-HPG remote?

I tried the mode2 command and get a lot of numbers when using the remote, so it works, but the IRW command does nothing.

At the install I choose hauppauge (16) and A415-HPG (c).

Try creating/recording a new lircd.conf using irrecord

I think you need to do a hybrid thing with the serial driver to talk to the device and the Hauppauge codes in /etc/lirc/lircd.conf. If you picked type 16 you're still trying to talk to the PVR card (via the ivtv driver?) when you need to be using the lirc_serial driver.

Mode2 worked fine, but when I came to the point to use irw, it failed.

In the /etc/lircd.conf file I changed the following lines

"flags RC5" to "flags RC5|CONST_LENGTH"
"one 0 0" to "one 936 832"
"zero 0 0" to "zero 936 832"
added the line "plead 970"
and changed "gap 0" to "gap 113754"

After these changes irw worked properly.
