Hi all,
I just installed R5C7 and my sound will work as long as I don’t try to adjust the volume or change the channel. If I do the sound will quit, until I reboot. This is on the ASUS P5RD1-VM with an onboard Sound Max ADI 1986A. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Andrew

I recently got my remote control working by running ‘lirc-reconfig.sh’ is there a similar reconfiguration command for sound cards?

This "seems" to have helped me with a sound problem that I was having.. although, I also had a "loose cable" issue between the tvcard and the tv set.

thx for this cesman, I had my root disk corrupt, and I fsck'd it, but mplayer wouldn't playback recorded shows with sound, only divx and avi's.

I re-ran
Code:
/etc/init.d/alsa-autoconfig
and kapow, everything was back to normal.
