While watching live TV & bringing up the program guide, the preview video shows only the top left piece of the frame, seemingly at full size, not a scaled version of the entire frame. This only happens on my FE/BE box, not my 2 FE XBoxes. Any idea where to check to correct this?

THe preview area is in the top left corner, but it does show the correct video.

I've had this problem on and off on various boxes with various builds, but never had any luck resolving it. I haven't been able to find anything on this forum either. I'll dig around on the Myth users list too, but does anyone here know of a fix?

Wow! I cannot say I've ever seen or heard of this issue... Has anyone checked thier log to see if it states anything?

Its referenced in this thread:

http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/m ... ew;#206706

and apparently has to do with video card drivers. I'm running on a Pundit PH-1 and using the video out from the on-board ATI X300 chip. I've tried both the vesa driver and the rev 8.27.10-2 ATI drivers with the same results. I may try some other versions of the ATI driver, but it was hell just getting this one to work.

Logs show nothing. Very bizarre!

I seem to remember something about the MPEG-2 decoder... Try switching to the other option in setup (under TV playback options I think) and see if that clears it up...

There's also a similar problem with thumbnail generation in the DVD menu generation scripts. Searching for "dvd thumbnail" may provide some more clues.

My solution was to switch back to GB-PVR which works flawlessly right out of the box and is incredibly simple to set up.

Nice troll coaxial. I'm happy to learn of new products, but that's not the way to garner positive support for a project.

Anywho, I tried all the various mpeg2 decoders with no luck. I can't seem to get any back versions of the ATI driver to install properly either, its VERY fussy, so hopefully the next rev of the driver helps.

Thanks for the input!
