I've had this problem since upgrading to R5C7. My previous version was R5A26, which had no audio problems.

Had some video issues since the upgrade which seem to have gone away since upgrading ivtv to 0.4.6 however the audio issue remains.

After much searching I came across this post,
http://www.mythtvtalk.com/forum/viewtop ... c&start=20

which suggested this command to reset the audio input on the second tuner (video1)
Code:
ivtvctl -q1 -d1

(Thanks Zephrant!)
If I putty in that command while video1 is watching live tv, bam, the sound comes in crystal clear. However if I switch tuners or stop watching live tv, the sound is scratchy again when I go back to video1.

In case it's related I've got video1 connected to a digital cable box using s-video, while video0 is conected to the analog line and the rest of the system components are below in the sig block.

I guess what I'm asking is, a lot of people seem to have this problem, has anybody come up with a fix for it yet?

Thanks!

I saw that post also, but isn't that related more to different model cards? The PVR-500 is two 150's on the same card so the audio levels and such should have the same parameters, shouldn't they?

If anyone has tried this approach with a PVR-500 please let me know. In any event I'll give it a shot when I get home tonight.

Thanks,

Kamy

You're failing to generalize. The techinique shown in those scripts is s general one for forcing corrective tweaks after mythtv is done fiddling with the card. Basically a way to automatically do what you did by hand.
