Hi all,

I've almost got things working as I want, but my second tuner isn't picking channels up properly. I have 2 PVR 150s and I've updating to ivtv version 0.4.6.

Card 1: Hauppauge: model = 26032, rev = C199
Card 2: Hauppauge: model = 26132, rev = G1B2

Tuner 1 gets all the channels properly, except for 16, which flickers a little, and Tuner 2 doesn't get static, but it can't seem to tune a channel properly...like it's just off a little. They are both setup the same way.

Help!

Thanks,
Gibbs.

What does your input cabling from the wall look like?

Oh, and have you checked out the PictureQualityIssues pgae on the wiki?

Well, first I thought maybe it was the splitter, so I removed the splitter and put the line directly into tuner 2. No change.

So I thought maybe it was the us-cable, us-bcable, us-cable-hrc, etc stuff, so I created a second video option, and tied it to Tuner 2, then went through all of the us-* options. Some were the same, most didn't work at all.

So, once again...I'm stumped.

Tuner 1 is perfect on every channel except 16 (it's like the vertical won't quite lock)

Tuner 2 is crap...channel 5 works, the rest don't.

What else can I try?

Did you buy the cards new, or used? Did they ever work properly in the past?

IVTV log extracts? See the wiki directions... Oh, and the output of:
Code:
ivtvctl -a /dev/video0
ivtvctl -a /dev/video1

Oh, and it's actually channels 13-18 on Tuner 1 that have issues...not just 16 as I had thought. Tuner 2...still completely messed up :(

Nothing obviously screwy there. Try setting 'em both to the same chanel and just asking ivtvctl (-UR) about just the frequencies...

Code:
# ivtvctl -UR --device=/dev/video0
ioctl VIDIOC_G_FREQUENCY ok
Frequency = 3380
ioctl VIDIOC_G_STD ok
Video standard = 0x00003000

# ivtvctl -UR --device=/dev/video1
ioctl VIDIOC_G_FREQUENCY ok
Frequency = 3380
ioctl VIDIOC_G_STD ok
Video standard = 0x00003000

...both set to Channel 13.

I'm beginning to wonder if it's the new ivtv drivers...since tuner 1 didn't have this problem until I updated...

What speed CPU, and how much RAM should I have to run two PVR150s...I'm thinking this old PC is a little too old...

Shot in the dark, but try swapping the cards between PCI slots. See if the problem follows the card or not. I had a weird issue with one of my PVR150s until I moved it.
