In MythTV (I'm currently using KnoppMyth R5C7), is there a way to change the ordering of channels in the Program Guide?
Both for mythfrotend and mythweb, if possible.
I would like to have the channels i the same order as om my TV set...

are the channels on your tv not sorted numerically?

How would you be ordering them

There's actually a handle in the DB and channel editor for this situation which is common in Europe. It lets you set an index number for each channel and then order them by that.

No, they are not. Here in Norway (and other places in Europe, I hear) channels on a cable net are sorted the way the provider wants it.
I only have about 15 channels ore something like that, so they are sorted alphabetically by name.

Ah, so that what the channel number on the "common options" page of the channel editor is for!
Being totally ignorant, I had set that to the actual channel number ('E8', 'SE14' and so on), whic gave ... eh ... interesting results when sorting numerically. Fixed now. This is great! Thanks a lot!
