Hi,

did anybody make it to get OpenGL to work with this card? I think, you have to use open-source-drivers and not this damn ati proprietary driver, because this one doesn't support OpenGL for this card...

I'm looking for a good HowTo or any hints about this, has anybody something for me? ;)

Thanks!

I'm not using OpenGL (as far as I remember) but the only way I got my Pundit-R working was to compile the proprietary driver myself, none of the open-source drivers worked back then but they might do now (but I'm not sure).

On another drive (this is going to replace the one in my Pundit box when I get it to work) I am in the process of setting up Myth on Debian and I am still struggling to get video working. It seems as if the overlay support is messed up, everything looks great without overlay, but using overlay I only get about halv of the picture on the TV. On a monitor it works perfect, so maybe the solution is to buy a new TV with VGA input...

If I had known all the problems with the Pundit-R I had never bought one, but a friend of mine (who got me into Myth) said his Pundit worked like a charm (but he has the original Pundit, not the -R...).

:( That's no good news for me :(

But I got some info 4 you: The problem with the TV-Out in ATI's proprietary driver started with every version newer than 8.20.8. Using this version, everything (exept OpenGL) works like a charm...

I have the Pundit-R too. The biggest disadvantage is the graphics card. What kind of output do you use? You could try the "ati" drivers of XFree 4.5 (I guess). It worked very good on the vga output, but I'm not sure about the opengl support. The DVI output is "out of range", tryed many different configs but no result.

TVout is not important anymore for me, I only watch tv with my pundit, so I use a DVI monitor (with the fglrx drivers, and no opengl). I removed the TV because of the horrible output of this barebone.

The pundit-r is a very nice computer case, but from the inside, it's horrible. Next time I'll just take a normal mainbord with an normal Nvidia video card.

So if anybody gets opengl working, please report it :)
