welp, taking that line out didn't fix the issue.

For some reason when I clicke on Watch tv, I got a few blurps of audio but nothing else but a black screen. Strange thing was it worked before I made the updates to the config file, but the picture looked horrible.

I don't know if you read through that whole thing but I caught this at the end:

"There's a bug in the Nvidia drivers: If you try to do video at 1080i, X will lock up. This is a bug on all Nvidia versions up through and including, 8756. To workaround that, launch nvidia-settings."

So..that explains something.

Another thing; those horizontal and vertical refresh rates on that wiki page that describes getting component out working... they don't look right. HorizSync max of 620.0 and VertRefresh max of 600.0 look off by a factor of 10. Besides, you should see if the specific values for your TV are listed in your TV's manual, and then use those.

I actually read and tried that but it didn't make a difference. But just out of curiousity, can someone tell me how to have something boot and load at start? What is the file or command that needs to be run?

It's been a while since I've messed around with linux, so I need to start getting back into this :D

I'll also take a look at my refresh rates.

Thanks again
