It's time to delete mysql.log again. I can't remember how I deleted it last time and II can't away from that login screen with the flower.
Sorry, I can't make out all the options on that screen since I using an old out-of-focus projection TV- so if it's obvious, sorry. Otherwise, how can I get to a terminal login.

I have trouble seeing the console screen on the TV.
First thing I do when I setup or rebuild knoppmyth is get Remote Access from Windows working.

I am running R5C7 on the box and this works for me.

Allows management on your computer in a terminal.

Not sure if this follows but when I deleted the MySQL.log I had other issues crop up might have been a bad drive even. Anyway, to fix that runaway MySQL.log I have already followed the steps here:
http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic. ... 1&start=18

This allows MySQL.log to rotate. That keeps the Log and /var/log manageable.

Also from the Frontend or Backend you can get to an Alternate Console with Control-Alt-F1(Fullscreen) or even Alt-X(window)

Hope this helps!

After fumbling around trying to get into a console on a TV which I barely could read the text, I gave up and connected the box to a monitor and booted into using a Knoppix disc.
Deleting mysql.log fixed the problem.

Thanks for your suggestions bigbro I will be using them.

thanks,
granduke
