Hey i'm doing some investigations into my first TV Tuner card. I was looking strongly at getting a Hauppauge PVR-150 or 250, but now i've found these cards and they seem to be much more value for money, as well as being SDTV and HDTV.
Only question is, how compatible are they with MythTV? Does anyone have any experience with these cards (i'm especially intrested in the hybrid card)?

I currently have Knoppmyth R5D1 running.

Better wait for .20

I use the ATSC version of that card, the FusionHD5. You have to set up the digital and analog modes as separate tuners, and Myth gets confused because it thinks they are independant tuners. It may try to use them both at the same time. From the changelog on .20 it looks like that has been fixed:

Added support for using both digital and analog portions of pcHDTV cards and DViCO cards.

From its product description,

Analog video capture and recording in digital

... am i correct in thinking it is basically the equivelant to two Hauppauge PVR-150's? (me second choice card).

well at first glance it looks like 2 dvb-t tuners on one card. It might work, but it wouldn't get you the analog broadcasts. Haven't seen any reports on that card, and the marketing bullets are a little fuzzy.

Hi ...

I have bought a SIEMENS DVB-C card with analog module thinking it was a nice caught ... using 2 receivers (only use one at the same time) but on one card only having use 1 PCI slot ...

But I have trouble with it since I installed MythTV on Fedora and now with KnoppMyth ... but I have to use two different tunersetups, Myth thinking it has two one becomming some trouble ...

Any solution for that ... reading many thread but no solution I think ... anybody has an idea?

THX a lot
Martin
