I have a backend/frontend machine running R5C7. I was trying to setup an xbox frontend and didn't realize the repository I was getting the packages from had just been updated to mythtv 0.20. There weren't any errors until I went into the watch recordings screen and that's when I realized what I had done.

Since then, I have noticed these problems on the R5C7 machine:
1) Every recording that was made before the xbox frontend connected had it's seek table messed up. When I'd play a recording and look at the time, the total length kept changing. Skipping or jumping through the recording was erratic. I was able to fix this by running:

Code:
mythcommflag --rebuild --all

2) I can't save the position (set a bookmark) in any recording, including new ones. The watch recordings screen will show that a bookmark is set but when I play the recording, it always starts at the beginning. Is there something in the database that stores all the bookmarks? Is there a way to clear them all and start fresh?

3) The channel order in the program guide and while browsing live TV has changed. This is the order now: 11-19, 2, 20-29, 3, 30-39, 4, etc. Does anyone know how I can get the single digit channels back to the beginning of the order?

I found the setting for channel ordering under the general TV settings. It had been changed to "channel number (alpha)". Setting it to "channel number (numeric)" fixed that problem. Now I just need to solve problem #2.

You cannot connect a 0.20 frontend to a 0.19 backend. If you have issues w/ your channels, you can always dump the guide and refetch...

I know that I cannot connect a 0.20 frontend to a 0.19 backend. It was unintentional. I am now trying to fix the problems it caused. The only remaining problem is that I can't save the position in a recording. This is mythtv 0.19/knoppmyth r5c7, frontend and backend running on the same machine.

In a 0.19 database, the table 'recorded' has a field 'bookmark' which contained a frame number. In 0.20, this became a flag and the 'recordedmarkup' table is used.

This should help you revert the database change:

Thank you! The bookmarks are working again. I also corrected the cutlist field (even though I didn't notice a problem with cutlists) and set DBSchemaVer to 1123 since that seems to be the correct value for R5C7.
