Hey everyone, I'm new to the whole PVR scene (and this forum) and I've been looking for a sweet case for when I eventually get around to building.

My question is this: If I were to purchase the Silverstone LC16M, would the included remote work with KnoppMyth?

The company offers optional Linux drivers as well: http://venky.ws/projects/imon/.

As a sub-question, would the LCD-like front display function as well? Or would I be better off buying a case sans display and remote?

Any help you could offer would be most appreciated.

Hi

Did you ever get a reponse from anyone regarding the Silverstone LC16M ? Did you buy it ?

I am also keen on this case, although its pricey....even more so, if the front display doesn't work with KnoppMyth.....

Hi

I am using a LC16m for my frontend and have got he remote working after some solid research and fiddling. I have not got any notes together on how I got it working as yet. Hopefully I will have soon as I need to backtrack a bit to remember some of the finer points and this is difficult when my wife and kids are using the system.

Also, I have had some joy on getting the VFD to work as well. Not fully functional but enough to able get it to display comments from the command line. Items such as time and CPU usage are displayed.

Overall, my wife is impressed with the box as it looks like it belongs in a tv room.

Cheers

Ok thanks.

I definitely would love to avoid re-creating the wheel, so perhaps we can connect, using Skype or similar. I can then reciprocate and share with you any progress / enhancements I make.

PS: Good to see the wife is happy ! That's a major fear of mine. I can already hear the whining: 'you spent a pile of money and the piece of #$^& doesn't work !' Definitely one to avoid.....:-)
