Greetings, all.

Well, I think I'm giving up for the night, but maybe when I return tommorrow, someone will have been able to shed some light on this for me.

Setup:
Capture - Hauppage PVR-150
Video - Generic AGP Video Card
TVout - ATI Radeon 9250
PC - Pentium IV 2 Gig
Memory - 512 Meg

Before setting up the TV-out, everything was working perfectly using the AGP video card and a CRT monitor.

However, once I finally got the TV-out working on the 9250 (no small task in itself!), and using Xv overlay to cut down the workload on the CPU, my LiveTV output looks like it's been stretched vertically on the screen. Horizontally, I've got the whole picture, but vertically it is looking as if the picture is stretched twice as high as normal. (Interlacing issue, maybe?)

If I turn off the VideoOverlay option in my X config file, the video output on the TV is set to the right size; but is too choppy to be usable. (CPU utilization spikes to 85% compared to 35% with VideoOverlay on.)

Where does one set the resolution for use with LiveTV? Is this set via the modelines in the XF86Config-4 file, and if so, which section?

Is there something I can do with Xv controls to shrink the picture back small enough that it fits on the screen, or do these only handle things like color/contrast/saturation?

Any folks out there with working Radeon 9250 TV-out configurations willing to share their XF86Config-4 files?

Any other thoughts or ideas? (And no, don't tell me to go buy an Nvidia card instead ... Noone in my area is stocking PCI based cards anymore, and I need a half-height AGP if I want to go that route).

Thanks in advance!

He doesn't have a PVR-350. He's got an ATI video card.
