I currently have everything up and running great with a PVR-150. I picked up the full bundle, so it came with a remote. What I'm curious is can I pick up a PVR-500, and swap it for the PVR-150? I want to use the 150's remote on the 500. Or do I have to buy a 500 with a remote?

If you have an extra pci slot you can just use both so you will have 3 tunners and can use the 150 remote with the 150.

I know, but I only have one extra PCI slot. So if I put both cards in there, I won't be able to HD later on. The mobo doesn't have firewire support, so I'd have to get an HD card or a firewire card.

I do not believe the 500 supports the Hauppauge remote. I use a Streamzap remote with my PVR-500. If I was in your shoes, I would keep both the 150 and the 500 until you get your HD Tuner. At that point, you will need to make a remote decision. There is LOTS of discussion here about remotes. I use the Streamzap because it works well and is cheap, but there are some sweet ones that can do a lot more than mine.

The main reason I was looking at replacing it is so I can sell the 150 an' make back some of the cash I spend on the 500. I guess I'll jus' hold off for the time being.
