I upgraded to R5D1 about three weeks ago, and now I can't enter edit mode on older recordings. (As near as I can tell, it's recordings made before I upgraded - I can view those fine, and I can edit recent recordings fine.)

When watching an older recording, if I press E, nothing happens (the video just keeps playing); if I press M and chose to enter edit mode, again, nothing happens. If I try to use the arrow keys to move around, they try to jump forward and backward; no editing capabilities.

I'm not getting frozen video, like some other folks have reported; it just fails to go into edit mode.

I had the issue where cutlists on new recordings wouldn't "stick" and I found and applied the fix from http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=10546 , which did solve that problem. This problem seems to be completely separate; it existed before I found that fix, and I'm still having it.

Any suggestions?
