I upgraded Mythtv to 0.20 as per cesman in order to get MythArchive to burn my mpeg4 encoded recorings to DVD more easily.

Everything went well and the scripts were going allong fine, then the power whent out (no UPS).

So, my quetion is this; does anyone know how to cancel the proccess? All I get when trying to go back into MythArchive is the log frozen at the last opperation before the power failed. The cancel button brings up a window saying cancelation will take a few minutes, but nothing further happens. I can see a lock file in the temp directory, but I don't want to delete it and cause problems. Or, can I delete everything in the temp directory, it was empty before I tried MythArchive for the first time?

Any help would be great.

I have deleted everything in the tmp dir without any problems. If you want to be really safe, you could start by renaming the lock file to something different.

Cheers,

Allen

I'm thinking that the software might be smart enough to detect that there was an interruption. When my power has gone out during normal recording, it goes right back into recording (as a new file though) when mythtv finishes loading.

You might try starting the burn process over and seeing if it handles everything for you. A lot of solid software expects to encounter bad data or previous errors and fixes them.

Thanks alien, I'll try that.

borgednow - That's exactly what I tried, it doesn't work. It seems to be the intention though, just doesn't work like that for me.
