Hi,

Tried to search to forum but could not find any answers.

First, how can I tell what version of KnoppMyth are I running? Sorry, must be a stupid question.

Second, I have a working KnoppMyth box (downloaded and installed about 5 months ago) with 2 PVR-150 cards. Everything works great.
I'm about to install a new DVICO HDTV Fusion Lite card. Do I just plug in the card and run myth setup to add it? Or do I need to install driver for this new card before the system will recognize it?

Thanks so much,
P.

Edit: Ooops. Just saw how to figure out version
cat /etc/KnoppMyth-version

I'm running R5 Cool 7

Pliug in the card, reboot, check the logfiles and lspci to see that the card was recognized (and in what order), run mythtv-setup as root, add the capture card definition, possibly a channel lineup (video source), and make the prioper input connection to link the two.

If the new card is recognized before the existing ones things get a lot messier since your /dev/video[0-4] numbering can get messed up, so avoid that if possible (usualy by swapping cards around). If you can't avoid it, you may need to redifine all the cards and linkages.
