All I can say is that when I added the monitor option of tv, it worked.

I doubt if it's a matter of SVideo or composite not working. It's probably just a matter of the tv not receiving a frequency it likes. Make sure you don't leave it going to the tv for long because it could potentially damage the tv.

One thing to consider is to make sure the tv is working ok. I let my tv receive the signal overnight by mistake once, and it wouldn't work even with the regular broadcast until I unplugged it for a while.

Potentially you could have gotten the right signal at one point but the tv wasn't properly working.

I never had to touch any of the modelines except to comment out the ones above the one I wanted.

Also, I didn't use the samples from nvidia. I used the default file that km installed, and then made a few small changes.

I touched nothing at all in the Screen section also. The Screen section is completely the same as it was when I installed KM.

The only code I changed was in Monitor.

Problem solved

It was something so simple, I feel stupid. I went to usr/src and nvidia configured then everything worked perfectly... I should kill myself for being this stupid.
