I have tried both 0.20 as well as release-0.20-fixes and both have same problem. On one DVB multiplex there is no updates on EPG from EIT. tv_grab_dvb does get the information but with 0.19.1 the EIT worked just fine.

So the question is how to debug the problem. Only thing that parameter "-v eit" on mythbackend like gives is
Code:
2006-10-24 19:33:00.011 DVB#0 CA Error: Failed to initialize CI handler
2006-10-24 19:33:00.750 EITScanner: Now looking for EIT data on multiplex of channel 584
2006-10-24 19:33:00.817 EITCache: Pruning all entries that ended before UTC 2006-10-23T19:35:00
2006-10-24 19:33:00.855 EITCache: Deleting old cache entries from the database

One particular multiplex works just fine (it has no channels that would require CI). It seem that if the tuned channel on particular multiplex does not require CI then also EIT update works.
    - is there a way to change on which channel on the multiplex mythbackend tunes when doing update (this might overcome the non functioning CI card problem)?
    - are there more options for debugging other than the "-v eit" option?

There might always be problem with hardware but I have tried 2.6.16.29, 2.6.17.xx and 2.6.18.1 kernels without any change. Also there has not been any significant changes with OS (Mandriva 2006.0) before the problem started. Everything else with Mythtv is working fine also tuning to channels with LiveTV. So this happened when I upgraded from 0.19.1 to 0.20. I have also tried retuning channels and importing channels from channels.conf (and yes, I fixed the transportid/networkid problem).

DVB card is Technotrend OT-2300 with firmware 2622.
