I have tried Knoppmyth, MythDora, Debian, Fedora, Ubuntu, and more..

I am preety sure the problem is in my hardware and linux doesn't like it.

Twinhan 102g on modified Dell PowerEdge: Leadtek GeForce 7300 Nvidia (pure decoders), 2.8 processor, 512 RAM, added Intel Board, component to hdtv

I am also using sata drives, I was able to install knoppmyth but never got xserver running, also most linux systems hang boot with 102g in. I think the video card is also not working properly.

Had some of the same problems. Install without the twinhan to simply things. Also you'll need to update your nvidia drivers. Mine wouldn't install with the drivers on the knoppmyth cd. Had to ssh in and manually update the the drivers

KNOPPIX wouldn't even boot with the card in, so Its beeen out.

I thought i had to update the driver, but when i tried downloading the driver manualy it never established a connection, then i though it wasn't connecting to the net through the board's enternet connection.

I don't have a twinhan so I can't be of much help there. but if you can open an xterm or ssh in you can do the following for the drivers:

wget http://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linu ... 6-pkg1.run

sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-8776-pkg1.run

and follow the prompts. That will update you to the latest drivers. This fixed my issue with my 7300 GT.

My only other opinion about the twinhan would be to update to myth .20 (knoppmyth runs .19). There is a sticky in the mythtv forum that has the 5 lines needed to update. I had to do this to get my fusion card to work properly.

I did this:
wget http://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linu ... 6-pkg1.run

sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-8776-pkg1.run

if i do it in while xserver is running, im told i have to exit xserver.

if i do it in teminal letting xserver not boot, for some reason the command doesn't work I think it can't get internet.

So far to do what i have done i just use the onbord vga thing.

maybe next weekend ill have some real time to work on it.
