Hi All,

I have searched over and over, but I could not find my answer, the font in the guide is so small I can't read it. I am able to change the OSD font with the themes adjust from default to small to big etc. I see the difference, in the menus, in the OSD but the guide's font stays small.

I am using the PVR350 TV-output, if it makes a difference.

Can I tweak the ui.xml in the theme, if so how ?

Do I need to dump the database for the guide to -reload ?

Thanks ,

Try adding:
Option "UseEdidDpi" "FALSE"
Option "DPI" "100 x 100"
to your monitor section in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4

Here's what mine looks like in part:

mythtv@mythtv:~$ grep -iB8 -A1 useediddpi /etc/X11/XF86Config-4
Section "Monitor"
Identifier "Monitor0"
Option "DPMS" "true"
Option "TVStandard" "NTSC-M"
Option "ConnectedMonitor" "TV"
Option "TVOutFormat" "SVIDEO"
Option "NoLogo" "1"
Option "TVOverScan" "0.8"
Option "UseEdidDpi" "FALSE"
Option "DPI" "100 x 100"

When I add

Option "UseEdidDpi" "FALSE"
Option "DPI" "100 x 100"

The gui Isn't coming up on the TV, the XFree log says

Fatal server error:
no screens found

Here is my monitor section from /etc/X11/XF86Config-4

Section "Monitor"
Identifier "NTSC Monitor"
HorizSync 30-68
VertRefresh 50-120
Mode "720x480"
# D: 34.563 MHz, H: 37.244 kHz, V: 73.897 Hz
DotClock 34.564
HTimings 720 752 840 928
VTimings 480 484 488 504
Flags "-HSync" "-VSync"
Option "UseEdidDpi" "FALSE"
Option "DPI" "100 x 100"
EndMode
EndSection

Any more clues anyone ???

Thanks

The parameters above are only for nvidia cards.

See http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/Display_Size for details on how to set this more generally.

Note that there are also a lot of font size options in the setup. I would recommend getting the Display_Size right first, then tweaking the fonts if still necessary.
