I am having a sound issue with the Pundit-R. This goes all the way back to KnoppMyth R5.A16. It only happens when watching live TV or recorded shows. Here's the problem: When I first start live TV or watching a recorded show, the sound is gone. If I use the skip-ahead or rewind feature a couple of times, the sound plays normaly. Sometimes the sound works right away. Yesterday, I upgraded my R5.D1 installation to use the MythTV 0.20 version. It now only plays sound when it first starts. If I change channel or pause live TV, the sound is gone. This only happens on a Pundit-R so I'm sure it's a hardware issue. Mplayer and Xine work perfectly all the time.

One hardware note, I have my PVR-350 card wired where the sound output is connected to my sound input on the Pundit. I am not using the TV out on the 350, I am just using the PC's sound card. I have installed the latest (8.29.6) ATI video driver. Like I said, this has happened ever since R5.A16 and the 8.19.10 ATI drivers.
I tried running alsaconfig and it broke everything.

Is there some other sound driver or configuration I can play with to fix this? Has anyone else seen this and fixed it? I have seen other people ask this question, but I have never seen a solution.

Thanks in advance!

Well this was too easy. Way back when, there was a post that said to select the "Master" sound control, so I've been doing that. Well, I just tried the PCM control and it solves the problem. It's funny because every other platform I've ever installed KnoppMyth on, has worked just fine. Go figure.
