Okay... so I have a nice pvr up and running with a few problems.

All of my channels in mythtv are fuzzy and have rough white noise except for channel 6 which comes in just fine.

I fired up tvtime and it had the same problem, so I did some fine tuning (+16) in its dialog thing. The channels that I finetuned to +16 came in just fine with good sound. So then I tried fine tuning in mythtv-setup. I tried many different values (15, 16, 30, 150, 200, 300) and they all changed it but nothing really helped. I was wondering if I need to change it even more than the maximum 300 khZ that mythtv allows.

thx,
ethanzonca

Problem solved:

I accessed the configuration page on my mythtv web thing and changed my channel's fine tune option to 1700 and my channels all work now.

Thx anyway!

You didn't make it clear if you used something like zap2itlabs (for north america) to download the channel selections, tunings, and program guide or if you just did a channel scan yourself.

If you did a channel scan, but you live in an area where you can download the free program guide, you may have to redo some parts.

If he's in North America it sounds like the symptoms of having the wrong frequency set aelected. From - http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php? ... WatchingTV

Wrong frequency set in mythtv-setup - see the GettingBackIntoMytTVsetup page.
* Others bad and only 5 & 6 sort of work - Under General you need the opposite of us-cable/us-cable-hrc from what you currently have.
* Others good and 5 & 6 bad - Under General you picked us-cable and need us-cable-irc.
