I have a working ubuntu breezy + mythtv installation. I've done the hyams install multiple times. Dapper is a little nasty and you have to do some hacks, so I just switched back to breezy. Anyways, I'm loving it a ton.

Currently, I use my rf wireless keyboard, but the range is only a few feet. I want to be able to use my bluetooth cell (motorola a1200) to control my myth box (then I could even be out of the room controlling my stereo and what not). Anyone have any details on where to start? I checked ubuntu and gentoo forums, but didn't find any real how-to for it.

Anyone have any details besides creating some sort of wrapper to connect a cell gui to cell bluetooth to pc bluetooth to mythfrontend? If there isn't one yet, I'd be more than willing to start this project.

im about to start looking into this subject myself.

I just installed anyremote, which is a bluetooth compatible remote control software, and xautomation, which can emulate keystrokes and mouse moves etc.

im interested to see if it can be integrated with myth (im downloading myth now), and I'll post the results in here somewhere when I've tried it,

MythTV also supports control via telnet, so that may be another option. I personally don't know too much about it, just throwing the suggestion out there.
