Hi

I was struggling with the setup as mentioned in the topic. Default kernel did not work, driver oopsed while modprobing. Solution seems to be upgrading to 2.6.19 -kernel. The driver still oopsed at some later time while running wpa_supplicant but it may be because I had to do some some excercising with modules etc.

Haven't seen this lately. I am just so totally lost with these debian based systems - I just do not know how to startup wpa_supplicant automatically.

The funny thing is I decided to once again reinstall Knoppmyth. This time left the Linksys Wusb54g adapter connected. It worked, but no TV this time. So I thought I made an error and tried it again and then again with it not connected since with the TV it will not work while the USB adapter is plugged in. However, I was excited that it recognized the linksys adapter and I was able to go online with it.

No, not at all. I noticed during the install that it recognized the USB adapter as rt2500 and I saw it blink on top. I did not do anything special except during install I had 3 options and the 3rd one, which I can't remember right now, was obviously for the wireless adapter. I know the 1st choice was eth0.

I went to the information tab and went online. I then configured it to add google for a tab. I got frustrated when the keyboard limited what I typed. Certain keys would not type and I am assuming that is part of the setup for the mythtv controls. I tried again last night to reinstall and the wireless worked but not the watch tv portion.

What version of knoppmyth are you using? Maybe download the version today and leave your WUSB54G version 4 plugged in.

Ok. My observations are only applicable when used with ndiswrapper. Your situation is obviously different.
