Has anyone installed newer version of ffmpeg (updated) in R5D1 with apt-get? Was your system fully functional after updating?

Yes to your first question, no to your next. I updated because I had the message unrecognized option -vtag when running nuvexport from the console. Upgrade didn't do much good though. Now I have unrecognized option -hq.. Bummer...

Same exact problem. I hope R5E50 fixes it.
