Hello,

I just Auto Installed R5D1 with a PVR-150 and get nothing but static for live TV. My card type was detected as TCL M2523_5N_E so I've added "options ivtv tuner=50" to /etc/modprobe.conf. Still no luck.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I also tried compiling IVTV 0.7.2 and 0.7.3.

0.7.2 caused too many problems so I re-ran auto install.

With 0.7.3 the snow looks different, but all channels still show snow.

Thanks

Did you reboot (or reload the modules) after making that change?

Did you you check your frequency set and the rest of the suggestions covered on the http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php? ... WatchingTV page?

Extract the IVTV log section(s) as described on the http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php? ... ngLogFiles page and post them here.

I did reboot between changes and have tried everything on the BlackScreenWatchingTV page except for dealing with logs.

Here is the IVTV log info:

There is your basic problem. I think you've got a bad card. Try googling for those messages, or searching the ivtv mailing list archives: http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/ivtv/

Just on the off chance that it's something transient, shut the machine down cold, (unplug it), open the case, remove the card and inspect the PCI slot for foreign materials, inspect the card for any physical damage or foreign material, then reinstall the card, and reboot. If you're using a riser card or the like double check that as well. Trying a different PCI slot might also help.

Dang. It's a brand new card. I hope it's not bad.

I also got a brand new 250 today, so I am going to give that one a shot.

Thanks
