When I go to add my PVR-150 as a MPEG-2 in TV Tuners across from Probed Info I get "Failed To Open". If I ignore this, when I get to Input Connections it lists only...
[MPEG: ] (Could not open '' to probe its inputs.) -> (None)
...and therefore won't let me link my tuner to zap2it.

edit: If under TV Tuners I change the card type to MJPEG or Analog V4L it retrieves the probed info...
BT878 video (Hauppauge (bt878)) [bttv]

edit2: System Info
WinFast K7S 741GXMG-6L (onboard SiS Video, Lan, Sound)
AGP Geforce4 Ti4200-8x
Samsung OEM 512MB Ram
200GB Western Digital Caviar Harddrive

Connection Info: Cable Internet through DL-604 Router
Television Info: Full Tier Basic Cable

Final Edit:
Missidentified my tunercard. It was a WinTV-Go card, not a PVR-150. Thanks TJC for pointing that out to me.

Based on the lack of information you were seeing in the log files with R5D1 in this thread http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=13065 I think there's either something wrong with your card or your motherboard and/or BIOS setup. The IVTV sections should NOT be blank like that. Have you tried reseating the card?

The new release simply isn't going to cure an issue of that type.

Mine are blank too, and I'm running and older PVR-150 on an older system (Abit BH6, Celeron 1.1GHz slotkit). I noticed things appear to be heavily based on ACPI, so I am going to enable it in my BIOS and re-install. I'll report back my findings hopefully very soon.

My problem was that I thought I had a PVR-150 but instead had a WinTV-Go. Unless you are 100% certain (see; have the box infront of you) you may wanna run it as a Analog V4L Capture Card. That is... if this is your first attempt to run mythtv.

If you had it running before as a MPEG-2 card then someone else might have some ideas. I don't.

I have a similar "Failed to open" problem with my Plextor ConvertX.
