Greetings,

I helped a friend setup a KnoppMyth R5D1 box. Everything is working fine, except he has upgraded to HD digital cable. The problem is the new HD channels. He has gone into his labs.zap2it.com account and added them to his service. When mythfilldatabase is run I see these errors:

I have tried searching Google and the forum here, but I have not found an answer yet. It seems that Myth 0.20 has a new option added that prevents mythfilldatabase from adding new cahnnels if it is a DirectTV or HD. I have not found any more info than that and was hoping someone here could help me.

I now have a partial fix in place. It seems that mythfilldatabase by default does not add any hd channels. I dumped my channel table (mysqldump --tables mythconverg channel > channel.sql) and then removed everything but the missing HD channels.

Next I sourced my updated channel.sql file to my friends database. Once that was done I reran mythfilldatabase.

At first it appeared that it did not update the HD channels. I reran mythfilldatabase with the --verbose all switch and saw that it was skipping todays guide data because it was already in the database. As soon as I moved to tomorrow in the guide all the programs started to show.

After poking around a lot in the database it seems that the easier way would be to go to mythtv-setup and rescan the listing source for channels.
