I am looking for this plugin to get callerId working, however I have been unable to find it. A forum search didn't yield to much info.

Has this plugin gone MIA or am I just looking in the wrong places?

Hmmm,

There used to be a page in the Wiki about getting xyac installed and configured, but I can't find it now. http://www.opensubscriber.com/message/mythtv-users@mythtv.org/574614.html is the best link I have found otherwise on getting it configured. I've never used MythNotify, so I couldn't say what you would gain or loose by installing xyac instead.

I was using xyac for CallerID with R5C7, but have not reinstalled since moving to R5E50.

I like xyac because the CalledID pops up whatever module you may be in. Where MythNotify (on MythTV .19) only pops up if you are using the Internal video player, not if you are in MythMusic, or MythStream.

Installing should be easier as some of the xosd stuff is included in R5E50.

This is post I used as a howto.

I'll try to set up xyac on R5E50 this weekend and post my results.

That's it. From memory I had thought it was in the wiki, but looking at that post I realized that it was that thread that I have printed out. Since I did an upgrade to R5E50 and it now includes the xosd packages, I don't think I had to do anything to get xyac working again. I still had the program extracted in my mythtv home directory, along with the command added to my .fluxbox/apps file.

That depends on if you could get ELSEED to recognize your internal modem.

Here is another older howto using MythNotify

That original post is mine. I have it setup to use an external modem connected to a different computer. But you can do it on the same computer, but as posted above, just make sure elseed will recognize your modem. It's pretty simple to setup and I like it because it does show the callerid no matter where you are in mythtv.
