You have to select the files under a different menu from where you actually burn them. It's kinda weird how it works. If you just go straight to the "burn dvd" menu there won't be anything there.

Here is a wiki on Mytharchive that should get you going:

http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/MythArchive

Oh, and make sure you have a blank disc in the drive before you try to burn something. I kept getting an error right off the bat when I tried to burn and couldn't figure out why. Ended up that the DVD+RW wasn't formatted correctly and couldn't be read by the drive. Poping in a blank DVD+R cleared it right up.

Good luck,

Martian

Another tip: if it won't let you pick files and tries to go right to burning, there could be old temp files.
delete everything in /myth/tmp
and try it again.

Hello. I just installed R5E50 with a PVR-150 and I am having the very same issue. Selecting the find files or burn dvd menu options just causes the frontend to hang. Eventually it restarts. I'm not sure if it is a hardware or software issue at this point.

I installed the previous version of KnoppMyth (with the previous generation of DVD burning plugin) and the DVD burning software worked; however, I'd rather get the MythArchive plugin in the current version working.

I'm using a PIII1GHz, 256 MB RAM, PVR-150, nvidea display card. I have no burner installed, but that shouldn't matter as it is supposed to be able to make ISO files. I can install a burner via USB 2.0, but this makes no difference as the MythArchive app still hangs. Any advice would be appreciated.

The rest of MythTV seems to work great and I am very pleased to have a functioning DVR now!

I was having a issue with MythArchive failing on .nuv files, there seemed to be some problem with the wrong framerate being passed to ffmpeg. In addition make sure the FIFOs are active, after managing to get through the ffmpeg step, if failed on the remultiplexing.
There are two logfiles under /myth/tmp/logs/ which may help to pin down where the problem is occurring.
