My System:

Pentium 4, 1.6 GHz CPU
512 MB DRAM
Nvidia Vanta video card
ATI HDTV Wonder tuner (NOT the ATI all-in-Wonder)

As a point of reference, R5D1 works OK. I use all the default settings with no special alterations. The live HDTV is displayed properly: the 16:9 picture is centered properly left-to-right and top-to-bottom. The video playback from the live buffer is smooth.

Keeping the exact same hardware as above, I do a fresh install using R5E50. Again, I use all the default settings with no special alterations. Live HDTV is no longer displayed properly: the 16:9 picture is now offset and shifted to the right, while the top-to-bottom alignment remains OK. In addition to the left-to-right offset, the picture now contains artifacts, stripes through a portion of the picture. The video playback from the live buffer is no longer smooth. It stutters at a regular pace, every half second or so, as if it were stop-action animation.

What settings, if any, do I use to remove the left-to-right offset? I suspect that once the offset problem is fixed, the stripe artifacts and stuttering will fix themselves.
