I was wondering if there was some 'hidden' commflagging setting that might be able to help me out. I want to record the SuperBowl this sunday but keep only the commercials. Any way of doing this without manually doing a cut list?

Yes. You commflag it, then edit the cutlist (watch the show, then 'e' for edit). Now 'i' to "invert" the cutlist. Now you've got nothing but commercials.

Just a question about the editing of a show.
I recorded a couple shows without the commercial detection on and now want to cut the commercials, I cant seem to grasp how to mark two points and delete between them.
What happens is that I insert a cut point and it asks me if I want to delete everything before or after???
What I want to do is insert a point at the beggining of a commercial and then at the end and delete everything inbetween.
What am I missing?

Go to the start point of your commercial, put a point and tell it to delete everything after that point (it will mark everything from this point to the end of your recording as red/deleted), scan further through your commercial break and find the endpoint, where your show starts again. Put a 2nd point here and tell it to delete everythign before this point. It will now be deleting everything after the first point - everything between the two points.

I'm pretty sure you can manually start comm-flagging from the Watch Recordings screen. Instead of hitting ENTER to start playback hit the RIGHT arrow to bring up another menu of options. Or it could be on the menu within Playback (m key).
