Im not quite sure where to ask this question or how. Im hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I am runing R5E50.

My system specs are

The system is connected to a tv via a svideo to rca cable. The image quality isnt that bad. There is no monitor connected currently. When in the mythtv gui the screen size was automaticly detected and working great. The tuners are set to record at 720x480 as a forum post claimed that was the best resolution for the pvr-150 to capture at. When watching tv or a recorded show the screen is fully shown but does not occupy the entire Tv. I can see a blue bar on the top and left. I tried to changed the video aspect while watching Tv to 4:3 zoom but that puts part of the screen outside the bounds of the Tv. At the end I listed my xorg.conf

Searching the forums here or the KM wiki for "blue border" should turn up directions for how to add a rule like this:

[startup] {xvattr -a XV_COLORKEY -v 0}

to your /home/mythtv/.fluxbox/apps file.

Searching for "overscan" should turn up directions on using the nvidia-settings utilty to adjust this. Amoung other things you need to add a rule like this:

Thanks so much for the help here and in all the other topics ive read your posts in. After getting rid of the blue borders, the image now using the full screen. Thanks agian!

I still highly recommend using nvidia-settings. It's easy and there are various adjustments you can make with it which will markedly improve your picture quality.
